How the movie Cicakman came to be

I once had a domestic helper who would feed rice to the cicak outside my house. I think her name was Ratna. Good thing she didn't stay for very long because I don't think it would be very fun to have Komodo Dragons walking around my house.

We currently have about slightly under 2 bucks.

Speaking of cicaks, I'm sure any normal Malaysian home would have a few running around (at least the ones in Sabah do?). Few years back I had my 12 year old cousin come over from New Zealand. He saw a lizard running around outside my house, and he quickly came to me to warn me that my pet had escaped. I wasn't sure if I should be ashamed that I lived in such barbaric conditions, but I played along anyway. Told him it's ok I let the fella run around the house one.

You know how most schools make you sew or iron your school badge onto your uniform? And you've got your name and everything? My former school had the clever idea of putting the word 'PAGI' or 'PETANG' beneath the school badge to let people know whether you are from the morning or afternoon session. Their way of catching students who ponteng.

The most amusing part of this story? Whenever I went for any competitons, the judges would ask me if my name was PAGI=.=

I wanna marry someone who makes cheese naan

Meet Ah Boy. I'm babysitting him for Ron and Carmen while they go off to kl. Actually it's got a fancier name which I can't pronounce, so for now it's just Ah Boy. I sometimes don't know if Ah Boy is asleep or dead so I tap on the tank to make sure it's alive. Downside is Ah Boy won't be getting much sleep this Raya.

It appears that the Japanese have invaded Malaysia and everyone in AIMST evacuated but somehow some of us didn't get the memo or notification on Facebook.

Kumaran says that the moment you enter the Hari Raya Corner you will start hearing Raya songs, maybe even smell lemang. But the moment you walk pass those pillars, you're back with the flies in AIMST and breathing the stench of AIMST. HAHA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALICE=)

This is probably the closest I can get to rock stardom. Awesome people.

The things people do to surprise their friends. Ain't that sweet eh? We even got to play Word Challenge while waiting for the birthday girl to arrive.

Happy holidays everyone.

Women are double crossers

Soon we will be god-like.

Because we will be making dentures and making people look pretty. That's a job I can live with=).

As for the title, Dr Rajesh says we're double crossers because we have chromosomes XX. Just one of his many jokes in class. I can't say I like his classes a lot, because sometimes I get tired of hearing too many jokes. Nevertheless, he's cool.

Just like everyone else, I've named my patient. It's named after a certain eye candy, and as some of my friends will tell you, I have problems being discreet about. Mmm=) So creepy kan.

Going into the simulation lab was fun, and the lecturer kept smiling at me because I was being a total jakun when testing out my station. Do you think they would let me bring a wig or something to beautify my patient?

Purpura sounds like kura-kura. hahah.

Will need to get use to not having you, soon.

It's a wooden keychain, with retarded looking balls.

It has been a pretty good weekend, had total privacy and quiet since my roomies were away. Not that I don't love them, just sometimes it's nice to be alone. Do whatever obscene things I want. To not brush my hair, wear my pyjamas the entire day. To think about...stuff.

Check out Andy's face. Damn dulan looking.

But of course I enjoyed spending time with my other boyfriends, Andy and Raymon. We shared a stroll by the beach hand in hand, sipping coconut water from the same kelapa.

Dai Shan and I were talking about Penang Medical College, and how kids who study there look so exclusive. We also came to a conclusion that kids who study in International Medical University in KL are also exclusive, and that they study there because they want a gempak chekap life in the metropolitant city. As for kids who study in AIMST (like us), they are exclusive tak menjadi kids, seeing that we're stranded here in SP.

Some kind of onion pickle that comes with murtabak. I call it eosin onion.

Year 2 is going to much more hectic, schedules are packed to kill. I think whoever did the timetable was feeling tipsy that day.

This is what I can do with my hair treatment cream. Looks like shit kan? Now I can go work at McD. Can serve ice-cream.

Welcome back!

I had Clement write the word Frontalis on my forehead. Isn't that the nerdiest thing HAHAHA? Not many got it though=.=

I've been wildly swatting away flies through out lunch till now, it's been good exercise.

Coming into second year, I must say that I enjoy being in Batch 4. We may do a lot of things on our own but when we get together to make something happen, it happens with a bang. Even though we went back smelling like soggy bread and mud, and finding shreds of grass and god knows what in our underpants, the junior orientation went well. I had fun.

Not sure if I can recognize all the juniors after that, I only remember their flour face.

I was watching Jon and Kate Plus 8, and the only reason I watch it is because the kids are so adorable. I love that boy Aaden. They just go about doing their thing, and they say the funniest things. That's why kids are so fun to be with. They are not complicated, they aren't sneaky brown nosers with hidden agendas, they're not bitchy.

I remember being in playschool and having a crush on this boy, Jason Pang whatthehellistillrememberhisname. Then I'd sometimes reserve a seat for him next to me in the TV room and stuff like that. I've never done anything like that ever since, especially not in high school. Because you realize that you can't do that anymore because it's not like in playschool. In playschool we were muka tembok kids. In high school we were wannabes with raging hormones who needed to build a reputation. But what's teen life without drama right?

Wonder how's Jason doing.

When done crying, move on.

Because there are some things that will never change.

The second the taxi took us through the gates, my insides cringed. Being back in AIMST is not really something I looked forward to, although I did want to see my friends. In some ways, it's nice to be back. We were all in for a shock though because I hardly recognize any of the faces in campus.

I forgot how to use the toilet in the hostel.

Here's what to do when you get your dental handbook:
  • check who's on the cover this year
  • check your holidays
Prof Smales was real funny today. He kept sayin 'BANG!' and 'Macracken'. so cute.
Prof Hacharan was his usual self. quite the charmer.

I couldn't find Barik the cute cashier at the cafe. Bummer.

Dammit I smell AIMST. yeaks.

SOME facebook users I would like to shove ALL the Jaya Catering food in the universe into their mouths. The thing is I only add people whom I actually know. It's a good tool, FB because I've found so many long lost friends. But there are some people, whom I have an astonishing 60 over mutual friends with, I cannot seem to remember. Reasons being:
  • they are probably friends from kindergarten and they remember me because I got to be Cinderella in the play and she didn't.
  • they were people I knew from school but due to heavy make up, ah lian/ah beng hair and tips from 25 asian poses.com they are beyond recognition.
  • they gave themselves some fancy shmancy name to match the weird makeover they gave themselves. For example, kawaii katy(when her real name is a 3 syllabled chinese name). Or Apple. Or Strawberry. Or lotion. Lame example, I'm not good with making up crappy names.
So ya lah sorry I didn't add you back.

Will be shipped off to Senggay Petany (That's how Prof Comfort says it)

Partly excited to go back because I kinda sorta maybe possibly miss my friends=) I'm expecting a big welcoming bash. no lah!!! a good hug will do. Partly not ready to leave the comforts of home. MEH...

Chic liver, the must have accessory of the season, because Vogue magazine said so. So chic baby, so chic.

Yesterday the artsy fartsy part of me decided to do a little art project, mostly as a way to divert myself from the kitchen, ergo stopping me from eating/baking something. I never thought there'd come a day when I would control my food intake. MEH...

Voila! I've got me a fancy pencil case. And everything only cost me a little more than 5 bucks! Love the colours...

Was wondering if my choices of clothes are old fashioned or matured looking. Or maybe it's just my face because I get the "you should be in your early 30's look" a lot. I've had distant relatives ask me whether I was married, AIMST staff asking me if I worked there, a salesman asking for my husband, and an air steward hitting on me I swear it's true and I was in high school that time. A little out of his league, no? These are just a few, the list could go on people.
And here I am thinking that I dress like any other 20 year old. Must be face problem. Oh well, I will only further address this issue when something REAL BAD happens. Like having another 20 year old call me aunty, unless they are me nieces or nephews. Or when I can't get a kiddie's meal. Or when I flirt with the guy at the counter for a discount and it doesn't work.
